Rembrandt f./ 1638
- Accompanying textJoseph, one of the twelve sons of Jacob, once told his brothers that he had dreamt that someday they were going to have to bow down to him (Genesis 37:1-11). Rembrandt has depicted with great inventiveness the various reactions of the brothers (amazement, shock, mockery, indifference) to the story of the naive Joseph.
