Here we see the lustful wife of Potiphar, captain of the guard at the Pharaoh’s court. She is attempting unsuccessfully to seduce Joseph. In this scene she has held on to his coat, which she will later use as evidence when she falsely accuses him of trying to seduce her (Genesis 39:7-12).
